Only On Uber Eats: OOH

I love restaurants. I love food. I love food from restaurants. I love discovering a city through food. I love having a job that pays me to discover a city through food. I love creating billboards, out of home and social layouts of food. I love working with talented food photographers, food stylists and props stylists. I love creating a multi city campaign shouting out exclusive merchant restaurants that are on Uber Eats while promoting our awesome selection of food. I love making people hungry.

Art Direction

With multiple restaurants to feature, I designed a simple but bold template that stayed true to the Uber Eats brand while letting each partner shine. Beyond the design system, a big part of the campaign was developing a consistent photography style—one that felt unique to each restaurant but still nodded to take-out, keeping it on-brand. Building off our recent photography library, we aimed for images that felt real and a little imperfect—think bites taken, messy edges, and glimpses of humanity.

Production

We wanted to keep photography organic and loose, so we approached each city with a very run and gun style.To keep food fresh & fast we shot all dishes at each merchants location on site which also allowed us to add small recognizable visual moments of each restaurants brand. We spent 4 days in New York shooting at 14 restaurant locations, 3 days in Chicago at 10 restaurants and 3 days in Montreal at 10 restaurants. And I took bites from every one of them.
